Adults:
Looking for a place to connect, grow, and dive deeper into faith-filled conversations? Join us each Sunday this winter in one of three engaging class options. Wherever you are on your faith journey, there’s a place for you.
• Two Peas in a God Pod – Dr. Weily Soong and Dr. Sonya Heath are back to help us investigate faith and religion through five wonderful, curated podcasts worth listening to, pondering, and discussing together. This class is a terrific opportunity to practice having better religious conversations with one another. Podcasts for discussion will include the work of David Brooks, Thomas Friedman, and a variety of faith leaders reflecting on our current social climate through the eyes of our faith. Meets in Room 204.
We’ll listen to the week’s selection at 9:15 a.m. and begin discussion at 9:30 a.m.
• Stronger in Broken Places: A Healing Journey is designed for those who have experienced hurt or woundedness within the Church and are seeking a path to healing. We aim to provide a supportive and safe environment where participants can openly share their experiences, voice their pain, and begin the journey towards restoration. Led by experienced facilitators Reggie Holder and Esther Glenn, the class will encourage open dialogue and compassionate listening. Each session will incorporate reflective practices, scripture study, and guided discussions to help participants process their experiences and explore personal and spiritual growth for a journey of healing and fellowship. In our brokenness, we can find the strength to heal and grow. This class will begin at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday in Room 209.
• Lectionary Reflections, led by Mikah Hudson, will reflect on the past week's lectionary readings and sermon. This interactive class provides an opportunity for deeper understanding and discussion, inviting participants to share insights and explore the themes and teachings presented in worship. The class meets in Room 210, providing a welcoming space for engaging conversations and spiritual growth.
