Welcome to Worship at Highlands

Highlands United Methodist Church offers worship each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. This service of Morning Prayer, with a strong emphasis on liturgy, scripture, proclamation, and sacred music. Holy Communion is generally offered on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of each month, as well as major feast days.  Services are warm and welcoming, and new worshipers are invited to participate fully in the singing of hymns, responses to readings, and to receive Holy Communion. Worship at Highlands combines sights, sounds, liturgy, and ritual into a meaningful experience for a diverse community who then serve their neighbors in their daily lives.

We strive to ensure that all visitors to Highlands feel comfortable and at home when they attend worship. While clergy and worship leaders are robed, participants in worship are welcome to  wear clothing that makes them feel at ease, with no expectations for “coat and tie” or fancy dress. During the continuing pandemic, all worship participants are required to wear masks.

All Are Welcome

Highlands United Methodist Church affirms that nothing can separate anyone from the love of God. We invite all to worship, wonder, and discover God’s grace as we aspire to create a safe space for all to participate fully in the life of this community of faith. We are called to shine as a beacon of hope, grace, belonging and respect for all people. Regardless of age, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, family, financial status, nationality, physical or mental ability, past or future, there is room for you at Highlands.

Our Vision

Highlands United Methodist Church is a community of disciples of Christ; a beacon of hope, inviting all to become new persons in Christ to be sent into the world to share the Gospel and to serve our neighbors; and a sanctuary for those in need of God’s love and grace.
