Located on Birmingham's Southside, Highlands United Methodist has long been called the church where the city and suburbs meet. It's in the heart of Five Points South, Birmingham's entertainment district that has been called "the jewel of the city." Our members come from all over the city and beyond; some travel 45 minutes or more to make this congregation their church family, while others live close enough to hear the church bells chiming from their homes. We can’t wait to meet you!
Gathering Times
Worship - Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
Sunday School - Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
Potluck Fellowship Meals - Every Third Sunday after worship.
Directions
The church is located in the heart of Five Points South, immediately behind the landmark “Storyteller” fountain at the intersection of 20th Street South, 11th Avenue South, and Magnolia Avenue - and just down the mountain from Vulcan and close to the UAB campus.

Parking
A gated parking lot for first-time visitors and those with limited mobility is located directly behind the church, off Richard Arrington Boulevard. Gate will be open for worship services and other church-wide gatherings.
Free parking for Sunday services is available at metered space on the street and in the Five Points South Parking Deck on Magnolia Avenue. Paid parking is available at Highlands Bar and Grill on 11th Avenue South. Parking is allowed along Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd on Sunday and holidays.
