So far in 2026, our Community Ministries Hospitality Hour has welcomed more than 19,000 guests through our doors! That’s more than 19,000 moments when Highlands UMC has been able to make a difference in our community—with a hot meal, a hygiene kit, fresh laundry, medical care, mail, or by simply offering a welcoming place to be. We’re deeply grateful for our partners at One Roof, Recovery Resources, Cahaba Medical, Alabam Regional Medical Services, St. Mary’s-On-The-Highlands, St. Mark’s UMC, Birmingham Food Not Bombs, and the many volunteers who help keep our doors, hands, and hearts open.
