The Spirituality of the Enneagram: A Pathway to Healing and Wholeness
Oct

to Oct 14

The Spirituality of the Enneagram: A Pathway to Healing and Wholeness

  • Highlands United Methodist Church (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The Enneagram is a tool for spiritual self-inquiry and growth. It uses personality typing to draw us into the process of understanding what underlies our personality: our essence, the core of our truest self. By coming to know our essence, we enter deep healing and wholeness.

Join Dr. Joseph Howell and the faculty of the Institute for Conscious Being as we explore the basics of the Enneagram and embark on an experiential journey to your soul child, the purest part of our being. Created from our original goodness, this inner child is our essence and a direct connection to the divine within.

The conference will include teachings, small groups, live music, interactive exercises, great food, and lively fellowship.

This conference is open to all regardless of faith or religious tradition.

Generously hosted by the congregations of Highlands UMC and St. Mary's on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church.

Receive with registration a copy of Dr. Joseph B. Howell's book, Becoming Conscious: The Enneagram's Forgotten Passageway. Books may be picked up before the conference at Highlands UMC and St. Mary's on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church with proof of registration or at the conference.

United Methodist Clergy CEU available

Registration Cost: $175 which includes heavy hors d'oeuvres on Friday, snacks and lunch on Saturday, and a copy of Dr. Joseph B. Howell's book, Becoming Conscious: The Enneagram's Forgotten Passageway.

Event Schedule:

Friday: 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Registration from 5:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. with a light snack and supper (pick up foods)

Saturday: 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Continental Breakfast and Lunch included

Optional: Join the ICB faculty and fellow participants for dinner at a local restaurant, Surin's (Dutch Treat) immediately following the event.

Event Preparation:

Please take the Enneagram profile test before the event.

Take the test here: https://www.instituteforconsciousbeing.org/enneagram-test

Bring a photograph of yourself taken between the ages of two and six. (It will not have to be shown to anyone.)

Objectives: To familiarize you with your Enneagram type and to allow you to talk with others who are your type, in groups with trained facilitators. To give you a working understanding of the problems and gifts of your type. To show you how to get from the problems of your type to its solutions. To reveal to you, your soul child, your soul type and its amazing qualities that you were born with. Live demonstrations for you to see how the Enneagram is used to help to spiritually discern any and all matters.

Please take the Enneagram profile test before the event. Take the test here: https://www.instituteforconsciousbeing.org/enneagram-test

“I became personally interested in the Enneagram only in the past three years, when, thanks to the ICB’s framing, I came to see the ultimate goal of the Enneagram as reconnecting us with our divine essences, not just developing a more nuanced understanding of our ego types. This resonated powerfully with me because, at midlife, I was finding my ego type tiresome.”

— Loren Gary, ICB Graduate, Birmingham, AL
